Early in 2004 we were asked to provide the demonstration content for a T’ai Chi DVD as part of a series which also includes Reflexology, Aromatherapy, Reiki, Indian Head Massage and Feng Shui.

 

Produced by Sue Hostler of  Liam Dale TV for Delta Music Plc, it is designed as a first step towards discovering the multiple benefits of T’ai Chi and explores the physical movements and the deep-seated philosophy which can help improve everyday life.

 

THE DVD HAS ALSO BEEN DISTRIBUTED BY THE DAILY MAIL NEWSPAPER DURING JANUARY 2007.

 

The DVD was filmed in one session to illustrate how T’ai  Chi can be started at any age and by any ability level. Unfortunately we were not directly  involved in the editing, narrative or cover picture,  and therefore to any  purists out there, please don’t assume that we haven’t spotted the errors!

 

The DVD does however allows us to demonstrate some of the basic techniques that we use to introduce T’ai Chi and invites you to explore T’ai Chi further.

 

To those who criticise the content and style - we are demonstrating basics and modified style to illustrate how T’ai Chi  can be beneficial to all, irrespective of mobility. Observation in any park or open space in the Chinese areas of the Far East, will show thousands enjoying T’ai Chi with complete disregard to style and form.  There should be no competitiveness only enjoyment when practicing T’ai Chi for Health.
To those that want pure style then I invite them to attend classes of one of the more formal teachers.
