MAFCUK - Pathfinder Community Leadership Award - 2014


In June 2014 Trevor of Crystal T'ai Chi was one of 8 people in the UK awarded the Pathfinder Award by the leading martial arts governing body and support organisation, Martial arts & Fitness Coach UK (Now renamed AbilityMartial Arts Association ).


The award was made for his services in promoting T'ai Chi at all levels and especially for his work with the less able and elderly including those with dementia.


The citation states that award winners have all served selflessly for many years providing training and guidance within their community, either by helping many people to better health and fitness, or by helping to gain confidence through self-defence and traditional martial arts training. In addition, they have continued to develop their own skills and knowledge and provide wider services for the aged, the young or those who need it most.


The qualities looked for were dedication to both the “art” and “the public” as indicated by someone who is a dedicated community supporter, making an unswerving and long term prevailing effort to provide their local area with classes that will help in life.
